‘Gilmore Girls’ Is Officially Revived With Four Leads Returning
News of Netflix’s Gilmore Girls revival first surfaced in October.
Though long rumoured, star Lauren Graham has now officially confirmed the series’ return with a selfie posing with a jacket she claims to have stolen from the set of the original show. Sherman-Palladino and her fellow executive producer, Daniel Palladino, who is also her husband, will be at the helm of the show. According to Slate, those terms better include finding a “worthy partner” for Rory, as her boyfriends throughout the series were “all intolerable in their own right” and “displayed varying degrees of awfulness”.
The Gilmore Girls revival is officially a go.

After lengthy negotiations, Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel have closed deals to reprise their roles as the mother-daughter duo of Lorelai and Rory.
The CW series wrapped in 2007 after seven seasons and 154 episodes, all of them are available on Netflix, but rumors began to circulate past year about a potential revival on Netflix.
Star Lauren Graham was also open to it. “I have no idea, that would be up to Amy and other people”, she said.
The Gilmore Girls revival will add new characters, like Peruvian couple Berta and Alejandro, the never-smiling Nat Compton and some kids. The photos showed Miss Patty’s dance studio receiving a fresh coat of paint, along with the revived appearance of some Gilmore Girls-related props. What would Gilmore Girls be without Sookie St. James? Four 90-minute installments have been ordered, which each one of them focusing on a different season.
There’s a limit to just how much regurgitated eye fodder the American public can take and Netflix should be wary of pushing this particular envelope too far over the limit.
