Gionee Elife S6 coming next month

The Elife S6 is the latest phone in the Gionee’s set of new phones that are yet to be launched. Therefore it’s another of Gionee’s extremely slim handsets although the Elife S5.1 is slimmer still at just 5.1mm thick while the Elife S5.5 is 5.5mm thick.

As per the invites posted on Weibo and sent to media outlets (via via Phoneradar), the Gionee Elife S6 launch is scheduled for November 16. The display may well be 5 inch HD AMOLED and internal storage be 16 GB. The Octa Core CPU could be coupled with 2 GB RAM.

In the camera department, the Elife S6 packs a 13-megapixel primary unit with an LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The will be running on Amigo 3.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.

As stated earlier, slimness quotient may be a major USP for Elife S6. A smartphone went through at TENNA certification, codenamed GN9007 is likely to be Gionee Elife S6 as it measures 6mm in thickness, corroborating with the Elife S6 naming convention. The phone comes with dual-SIM and 4G LTE support. The phone may carry a 3150 mAh battery, which could provide enough juice to make the phone last all day. Unfortunately, no other details are known about the smartphone as of now. The company wants only to increase the launch of Android phones this year in terms of numbers and it will do so by the end of the year. However, apart from the name the company has not yet revealed any other information.
