Gionee Marathon M5 India Launch

Gionee’s Marathon series of devices are known to offer unmatched battery life. The Gionee Marathon M5 price for India has been announced as Rs. 17,999. Today, the company has added Marathon M5 to their portfolio.

Unveiled at an event in Beijing in June, Gionee Marathon M5 has a 6,020 mAh battery that can last up to 4 days on a single charge. The device comes with two 3010mAh batteries. It also features an extreme mode that can boost standby time at 5 percent battery life to 62 hours. However, users will have to buy the reverse charging cable seperately. It is powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM.

The Gionee Marathon M5 sports a 5.5 inch HD Super AMOLED Plus display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The model launched for India has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD to 128GB), whereas the variant for China only had 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. It’s a dual SIM handset with 4G LTE for both SIM card slots, and it runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Amigo 3.1 UI. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 2G/3G/4G/CDMA Network, OTG and IR Blaster are the connectivity features available on the device. For camera, it has a 13 megapixels rear camera and 5 MP one on the front. It measures 152x76x8.55mm and weighs 214 grams. It is noteworthy that this is the second Gionee smartphone after Elife E8 to be retailed online first.
