Gisele Bundchen is Forbes’ highest paid model of 2015
And while this year’s list sees the arrival of Kendall Jenner and rise-to-nearly-the-top of Cara Delevingne, there is still a significant gap between Gisele and any of her fellow models when it comes to annual earnings.
The earnings of the Brazilian model has reportedly dented out by 6 percent because of her announcement to retire on the runway. Explaining why she has to give up the profession, she claimed that her body already told her that her career is already worth it and that she needs to stop. The 19-year-old A-lister grossed a whopping $4 million a year and debuted on Forbes 2015 ranking, which was released on Thursday.
Kendall Jenner is among the newcomers on the Forbes list, with an estimated $US4 million fortune.
Gisele Bündchen made $44 million a year ago while Kendall Jenner made $4 million. She also had a deal with Calvin Klein’s lingerie apparels – the #MyCalvins underwear campaign, in addition, she graced the print advertisements of other signature brands like Givenchy, Fendi, Marc Jacobs and the Kardashians’ favorite, Balmain. Her friend, Karlie Kloss, is also able to land a place among the list at number eight spot with $5 million. This makes her the youngest runway queen to make the list.
In April, she shared a post on Instagram, stating: ‘I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey.
“Still, her highly paid cohort are very much the minority elite-models are rarely paid for editorial shoots or catwalk appearances, while gigs with prestigious design houses don’t pay much but give models exposure they can leverage”.
