GoGo Squeez issues recall due to mold

The maker of a popular brand of children’s applesauce has issued a voluntary recall after mold was found in a few of its products earlier this year.

Pouches of applesauce sold by GoGoSqueeZ have been recalled by the company because of the presence of mold in a few of them, according to the company.

In a statement on its website, Materne North America says, “we know mold is gross and unpleasant to look at or taste”.

The company said an independent lab tested the mold and determined it poses no health risk. We are completely confident that we are once again meeting our high quality standards.

If you have pouches that fall within those dates, play it safe and no no squeeze! However, the affected pouches that may have made it to store shelves will have a “Best Before Date” of between 6/30/16 and 7/26/16. Those affected should call 1-844-275-5841 or submit a request online.
