In the Survivor series, fans were given a treat and an eventual shock when the marquee battle between Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg commenced.

The winnner of the Royal Rumble goes on to compete in the Wrestlemania showdown for the championship match. While this could be an argument against the Buffalo live event being a network special, as the WWE likely wouldn’t have two major network events take place within one week of each other, this becomes almost irrelevant when one considers that the next pay-per-view is WrestleMania. According to an exclusive report by the Pro Wrestling Sheet, Brock Lesnar is confirmed for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Even if he was sticking around to take part in another match or two I’d feel the same way.
Goldberg would go on to hit a second spear after that and Lesnar seemed to have no response.
