Goldberg to work more dates for WWE, including ‘Royal Rumble’
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Goldberg’s Survivor Series opponent Brock Lesnar is now penciled in to compete in WWE Royal Rumble match as well. Most reports indicated that the booking plans for WrestleMania 33 were Brock Lesnar vs. Shane McMahon. Once Goldberg signed, it was determined he would defeat Lesnar in dominant fashion to fuel the upcoming feud.
Although it could be a while before we hear from Paul Heyman or Lesnar, Goldberg has finally spoken out regarding the outcome.
In much the same way that Goldberg dominated Lesnar, Team Raw was enjoying a night full of victories over Team Smackdown as the blue brand head into their men’s 5-on-5 Elimination Match against Raw desperately looking for a win.
In the Survivor series, fans were given a treat and an eventual shock when the marquee battle between Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg commenced.
So, this means that road to Royal Rumble is set and Goldberg has announced that he will be defining all odds and will be competing for the next Wrestlemania 33 which will happen at Orlando, Florida at camping world stadium. 12 years later, Goldberg seeks retribution. Was this a one time thing, or is it the beginning of The Shield actually getting back together permanently? Technically, it was – as Lesnar proved so vulnerable, Goldberg recorded the same kind of “squash” victory that made him famous during his scripted 173-bout winning streak at his peak in WCW in the late 1990s.
That’s not surprising news and WWE is not even close to done with bringing in the big attractions or the big matches for the PPV.
Twitterverse was also abuzz with excitement after the announcement that could shape up the WWE for the next few months or at least till Royal Rumble in January in Texas. Brock Lesnar was the first entrant and looks focus. The victor will have a chance at the title at WrestleMania 33 coming up in April.
Goldberg finished by saying that everyone in the 2017 Royal Rumble match would BE NEXT! The likely result at the Rumble will see Lesnar cost Goldberg the Rumble in some way, angering Bill to the point that Bill demands a rematch.
