Golden State wants more beyond record start
With more than four months left in the season, the end could get even uglier.
The raw numbers of Bryant’s 2015-16 campaign tell the story.
So far, Bryant is shooting 31 percent from the field and 19.5 percent from three-point land.
The Golden State Warriors realize that, eventually, they’re going to lose a game. “It’s been tough. (But) My shooting will be better”. I could’ve scored 80.
Toronto had seven different players contribute to the 3-point barrage with Lowry leading the charge with all seven of his made field goals for the game coming from beyond the arc.
You may know that I love to have conversations with bloggers who cover other teams, but I pretty much only do it when there’s an upcoming game or two against the team in question. Nobody really talked about the 15-0 record until last week when we got up to around 11 or 12 wins. For us to have to double that output, we’re going to play hard and, hopefully, close in on that record. “I’m letting [Bryant] try to find [that balance] for himself”. Just got to stay calm in the eye of the storm.
The assessments on social media were, predictably, less supportive. Despite having a 37-year-old, physically depleted body, Kobe plays like he’s in his glory days. “Father Time is undefeated”, national radio host Charlamagne Tha God wrote to his 1.24 million followers on Twitter on Wednesday, where a lively debate under the hashtag #EndofKobe was under way.
But despite Bryant’s rocky start this season, Scott insisted that his role will remain and will continue to have the amount of playing time he is getting. “But it is over”.
The Warriors won the final three games between the teams last season after Thompson sat out a 107-95 loss November 9, 2014 with a sprained right hand.
In the meantime, Scott is not planning on changing his game plan with Bryant.
“Where are you going, Mal?” asked one of them.
Golden State took that to heart, determined to show that last season was no fluke for a championship-starved franchise that captured its first National Basketball Association crown in 40 years.
Curry said he had discussed an assault on the benchmark with his teammates, but assured reporters on a conference call the team would not get distracted by the pursuit of records.
Scott added, “As far as knowing him the way I know him and how long as he’s played in this league, I’m not anxious about him finding it”.
These rumored revelations of course go against the words of Bryant’s early claims that he will finish his career as a Los Angeles Laker though such remains to be seen.
