Golden State Warriors Make NBA History: First Team to Start 16-0
Los Angeles Lakers forward Kobe Bryant (left) dribbles the basketball against Golden State Warriors forward Harrison Barnes during the first quarter at Oracle Arena.
Bryant is averaging 30.5 minutes per game and 15.2 points per game on 31.1 percent shooting. Less than 12 hours after returning to LA, the Lakers practiced hard, but the topic of the day still centered on Kobe Bryant and his abysmal shooting performance the night before: 1-14.
“The challenge for (the Warriors) is going to be conflict”, Bryant said.
“I’m not really anxious about it, honestly”, Bryant said.
“We’re trying to get better”.
In fact, the Warriors already made some history just 16 games into the season. We accomplished it, and now we have to make sure that we don’t drop off and give a game away just because we broke this record. Bryant is averaging 7.0 three-point attempts per game, so those three-pointers play a massive role in the future Hall of Fame Laker’s horrific start to the season.
“A lot of winners have played in this league, a lot of great teams and nobody has accomplished what this team has tonight, so, we’ve got to be proud of those kind of moments”, Curry said. What’s sadder is that a few of those missed shots didn’t hit anything. Right now. As in, during the season.
Kobe Bryant talks philosophy and turmoil with Luke Walton. “It’s a damn shame that Kobe has to go out this way”. But it is over. I believe it is over.
“Man, I don’t want to see Kobe go out like this, looking this bad and not able to do what he once could do”, said a retired guard who faced Bryant. “Do they think I’m happy?”
Scott argued Russell would not have benefited from playing in garbage time.
In addition, Complex’s Russ Bengtson sent an open letter to Bryant to call for his retirement. I don’t think the way we approach things here is for everybody. The sports analyst added, “I don’t mean at the end of the season, I mean right now”.
Scott said the two have specifically talked about how to develop the young players, although he also said Kupchack hasn’t tried to meddle with his coaching decisions. “At some point, the body just can’t do it anymore and Kobe’s body can’t do it anymore”.
