Google and Udacity launch a new Android programming course for beginners
Enrollment is now open for the new Android Basics Nanodegree, which is a series of courses that teaches you how to build simple Android apps-even if you start with little or no programming experience.
Online education company Udacity has partnered with Google to introduce “Android Basics Nanodegree by Google” programme in India that will provide a guided path for new beginners to learn essential skills needed to build apps for Android. The app was initially in closed beta testing for a month, but now Google has chose to change its name and introduce it to all users.
Over the course of the next week, Google is offering free access to a comprehensive Android development course offered through Udacity.
If you have an idea for an app but don’t know the first thing about building it, Google has the course for you.
The courses have been designed by Google, and you will be able to put everything into practice using Android Studio, which is the official development tool for Android apps.
The program allows students to practice building skills by developing apps that have objective, such as an app to help pet shelters, an app to teach the language of the Miwok Native American tribe, and an app to display the most recent earthquakes in the world. It’s the first Android nanodegree class designed by Google for people with no programming experience at all.
The course, which individuals can complete at their own pace, covers building basic user interfaces for apps, developing user interactions, saving data in databases and leveraging data from the internet.
“By the end of the Nanodegree, students will be ready to take the career-track Android Developer Nanodegree program, and will have built and submitted 10 projects, eight of which are functional apps”, he added. You can enroll and find more details about the program here.
