Google Duo Now Available for Android Tablet and iPad
Duo, Google’s video calling app, has just received an important update that expands its availability to a larger audience. Rather, only Android smartphones and iPhones supported Duo.
Since its launch back in August 2016, Google Duo has become one of the best apps for chatting worldwide. At least that used to be the case before Google introduced Duo.
Apparently, Google Duo added a dedicated interface for Android tablets this July via a server-side update. Only time will tell if both app stores will cooperate more with developers and alleviate the taxes on them or if developers will ditch using them all together. The app can also automatically switch between mobile broadband networks and Wi-Fi networks to improve performance and efficiency. Or you can do what I did just the other weekend: pull out an old iPad and charge it up to use FaceTime since, somehow, that was still simpler. The Pro version has cultivated a positive rep among visual artists, while the regular iPad is widely regarded as the most well-rounded tablet on the market. As said, the one-to-one video calling application included a devoted interface for Android tablets in July this year through a server-side update.
From Epic’s point of view, Google’s release of this information meant that anyone who hadn’t yet updated the launcher had a target painted on them, and hackers could potentially take advantage of the situation after learning of the exploit via Google.
Interestingly, the revised OS version will offer a new dashboard to users to help them understand how they are spending time on their device, including an “App Timer”, “Do Not Disturb (DND)’ and ‘Wind Down” features.
Why would Tim Sweeney, one of the game industry’s most revered veteran designer, programmer and businessman resort to such harsh accusations? It supports text messaging and voice over internet protocol (VOIP) as well.
In order to end the confusion, Google is finally making the Google News the only apps available in the Play Store.
