Google Home gets Gaana and Saavn integration in India ahead of launch
The perks of owning a more affordable Pixel device include users being able to experience that smooth-feeling stock Android interface without spending too much money on it and they will be in line to receive the latest software and security updates first.
Smart speakers have already started to find their place in Indian homes with the a year ago launched Amazon Echo speakers.
Google has formalized a strategy to roll out its hardware products in India, ET Tech reported, citing four senior industry executives. However, if a new report is to be believed, Google might be developing a mid-range Pixel smartphone that could be affordably priced to capture market share in developing markets across the globe.
Much of this information has been trickling in over the past few months, during which Google has been hosting trade meets in the UK, US, and Malaysia. This chip applies effects and other adjustments on the fly to photos and videos taken on the device, and it is credited for making the new Portrait Lighting feature work, although Apple has not gone into great detail about this.
Next time you search “movies” or “showtimes” on the Google app on your phone, you’ll see a new “Movie showtimes” menu with two main tabs for browsing through movies and nearby theaters.
Google will be launching its set of smart speakers in India on April 10.
There’s now no information yet on the specs of this mid-range Pixel phone and Google hasn’t announced anything official. The company appears to even want to offer the Pixel model of the past year at a decreased price like the Apple’s yearly iPhone price drop model, but Google never can keep the Pixel 1 in the stock. Although the speech recognition on the Google smart speakers is shoddy at best, according to early user reports.
It could not be said with clarity that whether these cheaper Pixel phones would be knocking on other market segments or it would just be limited to certain segment like some Android One phones.
The executives have said that Google is also looking to launch a mid-range Pixel around July or August, ahead of the Pixel 3 launch around the time of Diwali (November).
