Google Nexus 5 2015: Concept Video, Design, Specs And Release Details
This time, Google will be launching two Nexus phones, one manufactured by LG and other by Huawei.
As for color choices, we’re faced with the basic black and white options. One of them is being built by Huawei, while the other will be a LG handset.
Nexus phones (and devices) have been announced in October and released in November for the last few years, and indications are that we’ll see the same announce/release cycle this year, meaning there’s just a couple of months left till we find out exactly what Google has to offer this year.
The handset will be sporting a premium appeal as it will be flanked with a metal body. The Marshmallow will fully support fingerprint recognition with a new feature called “Quick Fingerprint Access”, which Samsung recently revealed will be coming to many of its current smartphones and tablets when it releases its Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Another visible feature is the front speakers, which might be an advantage in some customers’ opinion.
Other rumors are that it will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 processor, up to 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, USB Type-C with Quickcharge 2.0, up to 64 GB of storage, a 3180 mAh battery, a MediaTek connectivity chipset, front-facing speakers, and a rear power button with an integrated fingerprint scanner.
As could be expected given the sizes of both devices, the rumored specs online suggest that Huawei’s Nexus 6 will likely be the model featuring the more high-powered cameras, although LG’s shooters are also supposedly not too shabby themselves.
