Google Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P priced in UK
Here is what our team thinks about the Nexus 5X: Aadeetya: LG made one of the most popular Nexus phones ever and even Google confessed to this claim at this week’s Nexus launch. Dave Burke, Google’s vice president for engineering, compared the cameras of the two phones to one of its competitors, the iPhone 6S, which came out last Friday and sold 13 million during the opening weekend.
For example, the Nexus 6P – developed in partnership with Huawei – features “the best camera we’ve ever put into a Nexus device”, said Dave Burke, vice president of engineering.
In fact the rollout of Android 6.0 will begin on Monday October 5, the Inquirer reports, when Nexus device owners will be able to snag the new OS.
Apart from the specs mentioned above, it appears that the most important upgrade on Nexus 5X is apparently its fingerprint sensor housed on the back. The product still allows users to cast multimedia content on HD television screens from their favourite device. Instead, it will have new features that improve user experience. If your phone is ever lost or stolen you can easily find, lock, and erase your phone using Android Device Manager. Pre-orders for the USA, UK, Ireland and Japan are now open.
Google has released a list of Nexus devices set to receive an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow this month.
Huawei’s Nexus 6P comes in three options – 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. In addition, Google introduced two new Chromecast devices: a new Chromecast for TV viewing and Chromecast Audio for Wi-Fi music streaming into audio systems.
Moving on, the company has also announced that it’s going to stop developing a few of its apps and services that have functionality that’s now either built into Android itself, is very similar to Android features, or for which there are many third party alternatives. The Nexus 5X starts at $379.
Inspired by the Pixel Chromebook (aluminium hardware, USB Type-C port and led band) the 10.2-inch tablet (2560×1800 pixels) has positioned itself as a potential rival of the Microsoft Surface range and the latest iPad Pro.
