U.S. tech giant Google will release a new Pixel smartphone later this year.

So, for Google Pixel 2 the wait begins.

Rick Osterloh, a former Motorola employee, is the man behind Google Pixel. With Google Assistant on iPhones, it will be interesting to see who garners more popularity amongst iOS users.

Osterloh also confirmed that this year’s Pixel would have more or less the same price as the original phone, meaning that we are looking at another premium device.

Apple has received a lot of attention regarding its upcoming flagship smartphone – now, another electronics maker is stepping in to grab some of the action. This is what leads us to believe that Google will do the exact thing so that its smartphone is kept up to par with the competition. It would have a Snapdragon 835 chipset backed with a 4GB or 6 GB RAM.

The screen will be a seven inch one, with still unknown resolution, but we can confirm that it will be at least Full HD (1920×1080), with high chances of sporting a Quad-HD (2560×1440) resolution.
