Google Pixel Settings Suggestions app now available on Play Store

Apart from the fact that Google’s Pixel phones get instant access to new Android releases while owners of rival phones typically have to wait several months for updates, the cameras on Google’s Pixel phone lineup have been among the phones’ biggest draws.

The designs of the new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are decidedly different from those of past Google phones, with the 6.3-inch XL version offering a notch and the standard 5.5-inch model delivering a traditional smartphone look and feel. It can charge a Pixel 3 at 10 watts, double the speed of a Qi wireless charger’s typical 5 watt limit which the Stand will have to abide by if you use it to charge other devices. The one thing which was not unveiled was the rumored Google Pixel Watch. So that when someone is calling, you can tap the “Screen Call” button and allow the Google Assistant to answer the phone.

The new Pixel 3 manages to offer a plethora of new features as opposed to the Pixel 2.

As Pixel 3 XL is larger, so it packs larger battery. And in a world on the Huawei P20 Pros and LG V40s and Galaxy Note 9s and iPhone XS’, this is no mean fete.

Pixel 3 starts at £739 for the 64GB storage option but goes up to £839 for 128GB.

By contrast, the Pixel 3 comes in only two storage options, 64 GB and 128 GB.

At its Made by Google event this week, the Google Assistant got a slew of new updates on the software side, while Google also debuted the new Home Hub.

The Pixel 3 comes in “just black”, “clearly white”, and “not pink”.

It’s not clear exactly which phones use this new backup functionality, but Android 9 Pie is one of the requirements. Display of Pixel 3 XL is not just bigger but better. Neither phone has a headphone jack. If you don’t use the flash, your night photos appear grainy and lack detail. If Google’s presentation is to be believed, it will make photos much brighter and clearer.

Both devices have high-end selfie cameras too, though the Pixel 3’s has two lenses. But for dual 8 MP front cameras and front facing speakers it not a bad deal. It’s not on the back, it’s on the front, but it’s not for portraits or stage lighting. Because the iPhone XS has its dual lens camera setup with a 12MP wide-angle and a 12MP telephoto lens, dual optical image stabilisation, optical zoom, and 4K video recording. The Pixel 3 will have a new chip, called Titan, to store keys to the most sensitive information, including those needed to unlock the phone and descramble stored data. The Pixel Slate starts at U.S. $599; a keyboard costs United States $199 more and a stylus another USA $99.
