Google Play Instant Now Lets You Try Apps Before Buying Them
Instead of wasting time downloading and installing a new title – and giving it permissions access – Google Play Instant lets you play without even installing. These include Clash Royale, Words With Friends, Solitaire, Final Fantasy XV, Bubble Witch 3 Saga, and Mighty Battles.
The company has also launched a new version of Google Play Games with a new “Arcade” tab. If it spots a landmark, like a building or a store, it will offer up further details usually found on a card brought up in regular Google searches, including opening hours and a brief description of the structure. Either they have moved from country A to country B and want to keep theirs set to A but the Play Store unexpectedly switches to B, either they do indeed want to switch to B but it gets stuck on A and never flips.
Today Google announces a solution to the problem: Google Play Instant. As we all know, the Instant Apps feature enable us to try the apps over at the Play Store without fully installing. The idea being pushed by Google is that by easily allowing users to try a game without a download, they would be more likely to purchase it.
Google has redesigned its Google Play Games app and made some changes in its Play Store to help people discover new games and reduce the time, space and data required to do so. Users who have Android Go and apps running on their phone can ask Google voice assistant now. That being said this is just the first batch of games and we are pretty sure that Google will add a lot more in the future. It will also soon reach Google Assistant on “Compatible Flagship devices”.
Now play a demo of the game, get a grip on the storyline and gameplay before you install it. Google is now letting users play a select few titles, without having to download/purchase it. This feature would run an Android app on Google’s servers, stream a live video feed to the user, and stream clicks back to the Google server. For example, the maximum file size for games that can be played instantly is 10MB, an increase from the 2MB maximum size for other apps.
