Google’s My Track Is Shutting Down Soon
From time to time, however, the company does a cleanup and shuts down apps that are no longer a priority for the company.
Users will have to open the My Tracks app on their device and then to Touch More and tap on Settings. While nothing much has actually changed because of this, it’s just part of Google’s efforts to make their brand more visible in devices, as if they need any further branding on your smartphone or tablet.
The Google Play Store was recently updated to version 6.1.12 and you can download it as we speak. If you’re a My Tracks user, you may want to find one that you like and get into the habit of using it before My Tracks shuts down. This is particularly useful for Android users to keep track of their fitness when going for a jog or brisk walk.
If you asked someone what they thought the most used Android app in 2015 was, they’d likely suggest Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, or any number of other social-focused apps.
Google, however, has made sure that no one stays in the dark and provided resources to use and instructions on how to export data. The AdWords Express, you can see how your application performs and edit while AdSense is to consider your reports and billing information. Not necessarily because they advertise for themselves, but mostly because they advertise for others or help other companies to create and share ads online with the help of ad programs developed by Google. From there, you can choose the file format you’d like to export it as – either KML (which contains locations, markers, photos, and sensor data), GPX (locations and markers but no sensor data like heart rate and cadence), CSV (locations, markers, and sensor data), or TCX (locations, no markers, and some sensor data). You can then look back at that data in maps, charts, and stats.
