Google says to “count on” a second-generation Pixel smartphone this year

Now, in response to a low-priced Pixel unit, rumored as “Pixel 2B”, the Google exec simply said: “Pixel stays premium”.
For the production of a highly efficient Google Pixel 2, the company is rumored to be experimenting with prototypes of the phone with partners, different chipsets and other components. There is no news on a release date for Thailand at this stage nor is there a definitive list of “eligible” devices.

The current Google Pixel was launch in October a year ago, so we probably won’t see the next Pixel anytime soon. The first Pixel is still the best Android smartphone available, in my opinion, and it’s good to see Google continuing along that path. This somehow proves that the Pixel phones were not launched as a one-time experiment.
In an interview with Android Pit, Osterloh stated that next-gen Pixel devices are on their way, however no time frame of their launch was confirmed.
If a fall release date is in order, Google’s second-generation phone would go head-to-head with Apple’s launch of its rumored iPhone 7s and highly-anticipated iPhone 8 – which could give Google some competition.
Google is hard at work on its next great smartphone.
In January the first information related to the upcoming Pixel 2 surfaced online. Other than that, we can’t know anything for sure. The device also features unlimited cloud storage on Google Photos.
