Google Unveils Nexus 6P And 5X

Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are the announced models from the Google and is priced to join the fights with the high-end smartphones brands like Apple and the Samsung. The LG-made Nexus 5X will be sold exclusively via Amazon India, while the Huawei-made Nexus 6P will be sold on Flipkart. Included in the box are all of the goodies that we expect to see, including the wall charger, USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable, a USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable, and of course, the Nexus 6P itself. It is the first Nexus phone to have a full metal body.

LG Nexus 5X sports a 12.3MP rear camera and a 5MP camera in the front. Google has partnered with South Korea’s LG for its 5.2-inch screen Nexus 5X, and with China’s Huawei for its “phablet” sized 5.7-inch Nexus 6P. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC with 2GB of RAM. The Nexus 5X go on sale via Amazon India, whereas the Nexus 6P will be available via Flipkart. Nexus 5X will be priced at Rs 31,900 for 16GB variant and the 32GB version costs Rs 35,900.

The source code for Google’s latest operating system, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, has been released to manufacturers.

The Google Nexus 5X will officially start shipments this coming October, 22, although the announcement covers only the black and white versions of the upcoming device.

The Nexus 6P is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, which has a 64-bit 2.0GHz octa-core processor with Adreno 430GPU along with 3GB of RAM.

Google didn’t have the best sales with the Nexus 6 and maybe this is the reason why the company suspended the collaboration with Motorola and gave Huawei a chance to implement its ideas. In discussing the Marshmallow release (as well as HTC, LG, and Nexus devices), T-Mobile says that the devices are in the first step of “Manufacturer Development”, which means that they will be released soon. For selfies, it comes with a 8 Megapixel front camera.

Both the smartphones have Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, NFC and a microUSB port. In addition, there is 4G LTE support to deliver high-speed internet access.

Compared to that of the previous model, the battery capacity is upgraded by about 20 percent to 2,700 mAh.
