GOP candidate John Kasich vows to reunite Pink Floyd
Republican presidential hopeful John Kasich promised this week that, if elected, he would reunite legendary prog-rock band Pink Floyd.
Speaking to CNN, Kasich said that seeing Pink Floyd’s The Wall tour in Pittsburgh was his favourite gig of all time and praised Roger Waters as an “incredible artist”.
Kasich said the first song he would ask the band to play would be “Money”, because “we have so much trouble, in America, with our finances”.
Is the power of the White House enough to get Pink Floyd back together for one more concert? Kasich told CNN Roger Waters’ performance of The Wall wins that honor and then made his promise about reuniting Pink Floyd.

Call it wishful thinking, a momentary lapse of reason, or the kind of bold, innovative thinking Americans are looking for in their next president.
“That’s better than “Comfortably Numb”,” Camerota agreed.
“We may be “Comfortably Numb” after New Hampshire, we’ll see”, Kasich quipped of the state’s GOP presidential primary next Tuesday.
But if he is serious, we suggest Kasich quickly amend his statements to include praise for Gilmour, who replaced original Floyd guitarist/singer Syd Barrett in the late 1960s and assumed control of the band after Water’s departure.
