GOP Muddied Waters: A look into the New Hampshire primary
It was a surprise to both parties, while many believed voters would stick to their roots embracing more experienced candidates like Clinton or one of the Republican lawmakers.
Chris Christie’s presidential bid apparently died in New Hampshire, which shows you there’s not much upside to performing well in the debates – just a huge potential downside. Plenty of them crossed party lines to vote for him in the Democratic primary – and 2,095 took Republican ballots and wrote in the name of Sen.
But Kasich, who has strong ties with the Ohio Jewish community, grabbed 16% to finish on top of the heap of rivals vying for the support of the establishment wing of the party.
More than six in 10 Republicans have favorable views of Trump (67 percent), Rubio (62 percent) and Cruz (61 percent), the poll found.
Fiorina, who finished behind Christie in New Hampshire, vowed to remain active in politics.

Then it came to Jeb Bush, who has had a rough go of it in the early states, spending over million in ads from his campaign and Super PAC only to see literally zero movement in the polls.
“I think they’re all really potential threats”, Trump said of his rivals Wednesday on MSNBC.
Kasich, who surged from relative obscurity in New Hampshire, has a poorly funded campaign that will struggle to keep up momentum in SC and beyond.
Bernie Sanders: After his solid showing in two overwhelmingly white states, Mr Sanders must do well in a state where about 20 per cent of the Democratic electorate is Hispanic and 13 per cent African-American. “Also on a personal level, it was great to participate in what I consider to be an iconic American electoral phenomenon of the New Hampshire primary”, he said.
“Wow, wow, wow, wow”, Trump declared, savoring his victory at a campaign rally before promising swift action as president on the economy, trade, health care and more.
“I need your support”.
In the days before the New Hampshire, primary Christie blasted attacks toward Marco Rubio. “I think that should be his main platform”.
Cruz highlighted the “significant glaring differences” between the two on health care, stressing that Trump was keen on “adopting Bernie Sanders-style socialized medicine”, a reference to the independent senator challenging Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination.
