‘Gotham’ Season 2 Spoilers: Is Barbara Kean Pregnant with Batgirl and James
At the same time, parts of the video Jerome filmed didn’t work. Each worker was dropped in such a way that his or her bodies spelled out “Maniax!” on the street below. This week, fans will see just what the Maniax are capable of. Barbara (Erin Richards) comes in with Tabitha and they want to know why only boys are having fun. She and Jim were close in terms of they were going to get married, so something needed to happen, for Jim.
The episode ends with Bruce in the dungeon with a tech guy from Wayne Enterprises, Alfred recruited him to help with the computer. Bruce begs Alfred to stay, and train him – he even promises that he will go back to school. Jerome is clearly becoming the leader and showman of the group and it’s not sitting well with Robert Greenwood, a.k.a. the cannibal. Grace under pressure. And who’s the boss? She tells him that it is too late to talk – and then one of the maniacs jumps from the roof and attacks Gordon. However, he doesn’t let Gordon leave empty handed, telling him to look into the shipyard from where the seven workers came.
The Maniax hijack a school bus filled with cheerleaders. The bus pulls over and Jerome and the maniacs hop on, they have all of the teenaged girls handcuffed to their seats.
When Gordon and the other cops arrive, Jerome knows his gang is safe so long as they stand in front of the bus because now it’s a highly combustible vehicle just waiting for a spark to explode.
The second season of “Gotham” is starting to get in full swing, and there is one thing that we will immediately praise the Fox series for right now: Finding a way to implement the Barbara Kean character in a way that is infinitely more exciting than what we had for her at this point a year ago.
Regardless, Jerome and his guys escape while leaving one man behind to set the fire except his lighter is useless as well. The inmate does drop the lighter, but Gordon acts fast and drives the bus and cheerleaders out of harm’s way. Dobkin is placed under arrest but before Gordon can get information out of him, Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas) shoots him with a sniper rifle. When it finally does, Alfred smashes it out of fear for Bruce’s safety. “I said, goodbye Alfred”, Bruce answers firmly. Of course firing Alfred only lasts about a day as Bruce later seeks out Alfred at the train station and asks him to return under Alfred’s condition that Bruce resumes training and does everything he says, and Bruce’s condition that Alfred find someone to fix his computer.
As always, that struggle begins and ends with Jim Gordon. He tells her to turn herself in now and he promises to help her – he still thinks that she is a good, kind woman. Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. There goes Gordon’s only lead in the case. Dr. Leslie Thompkins (Morena Baccarin) was able to hide from the Maniax and wasn’t hurt, but Police Commissioner Sarah Essen (Zabryna Guevara) was left for dead. Being a cop is just who Harvey is inside and his fiancée will just have to understand that he’s back on the force and teaming up with his old partner. The two look at a tape recorded by Jerome that’s a joker-esque message to the city-saying people should “hold onto their hats, because they ain’t seen nothing yet”.
