The first thing Barnes is going to in power, according to The Futon Critic, is the creation of a new “law-abiding task force”, with the help of Jim Gordon. They find and evaluate the top of the class to see if they have what it takes.
According to a spoiler by IBTimes, in the episode “Strike Force”, fans will see for the first time a new police commissioner by the name of Captain Nathaniel Barnes, who’s played by Michael Chiklis.
Penguin sends Victor Zsasz after one of the mayoral candidates but is intercepted by Gordon and the strike force before he can finish his target off. The ensuing shootout is one of the better action scenes on Gotham recently and helps unify the rookie cops with Bullock and Gordon.
Be sure to tune into the all new episode of Gotham, tonight on Fox at 8:00 p.m. eastern, followed by an all new episode of Minority Report at 9:00 p.m. eastern. Many have died trying to save Gotham but as Harvey says in the upcoming episode’s promo, the city “doesn’t have straight lines”. As if discussing all these plans out loud isn’t painful enough, Penguin then responds by literally laying out the conflicted morality that defines Theo and his twisted goals.
“Galavan and Penguin join forces with a risky family in Gotham”. Until Butch can find her, it looks like Penguin has to do whatever the Galavan’s want. While waiting, Alfred sees Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) and slaps her for killing his friend last season. Galavan also introduces Bruce to his adoptive niece, Silver St. Cloud, who will attend Bruce’s school. They seem like they might be a little too antsy for action and are already injured in their first mission. Will Gordon live up to his word and expose everything that happened between him and Penguin?
It seems like Gordon is all on board for the new regime in the GCPD. Gordon soon surmises that Penguin was behind the assassinations and confronts him. While he finally gets his date with Ms. Kringle, he nearly blows it by saying that he’s glad her ex-boyfriend, the man Nygma killed, is dead.
