Gotze: Juventus are a big, big club
Juventus’ new forwards Simone Zaza and Mario Mandzukic have both expressed their delight at joining the club after both were officially unveiled in the black and white stripes this week.
Gotze has denied that he is set to join the Bianconeri but hinted that he would welcome a move to Turin.
Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Saturday that Bayern will allow Serie A champions Juve to speak to Gotze over a possible transfer just two years after the playmaker – who scored the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup final – joined for €37 million.
Juve have lost two men who played a key role in last season’s run to the final of the Champions League, with Andrea Pirlo moving to MLS side New York City and Carlos Tevez returning to boyhood club Boca Juniors.
In an interview with Chinese news agency Xinhua, as per Metro, Gotze said, “I think Chinese food is great, especially sushi”.
‘They managed to win titles in the past year and they are a big, big club. I’m excited to be here, it’s a dream come true, and I want to become a top player. “I hope so, but we’ll see”, he said at a media conference. “I hope to offer a more all-round contribution”. “Then he is one of the best players in the world”.
Last season, he was handed six different positions across midfield and attack, which suggests that perhaps Guardiola is unsure on where his No. 19 fits into his current XI – or may not have confidence in his ability.
“Of course he was disappointed and that did bother him”.
“It’s always hard to play against Juve”.
