Gov. Haley set to endorse Marco Rubio

On Tuesday, Haley said Trump represents “everything a governor doesn’t want in a president”. “We have to be commonsense conservatives, we have to be smart”.

Ted Cruz has found his line of attack on Donald Trump, and it is that Trump is a secret liberal who can’t be trusted by “real conservatives” to uphold conservative values.

With three days until South Carolina voters head to the polls, the day started early for many candidates including Senator Marco Rubio, whose first event was in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina Wednesday morning. (Robert Kennedy had in turn derived a prior quote from the playwright George Bernard Shaw.) Cruz quickly caught himself, though, and remembered the correct quotation from President John F. Kennedy. Trump said in the August presidential debate said that his shift occurred because “friends of mine years ago were going to have a child, and it was going to be aborted”.

“If you become president it has to be toned down a lot”, Trump said Tuesday with a smirk on his face.

Cruz, who has been a solid second in sc behind front-runner Trump, may be feeling squeezed, especially in the Palmetto State, where the majority evangelical Republican voters are supporting Trump over Cruz by 2 to 1.

“You have been threatening frivolous lawsuits for your entire adult life”, Mr Cruz said of Mr Trump.

Trump took the lead in national GOP surveys in July, surpassing former Florida Governor Jeb Bush. That’s a tack he took just hours before at a heated press conference where he attempted to goad Trump into filing the suit that he bashed as “frivolous”.

Trump is at 38 percent, putting him far out in front of Texas Sen. I am pro-life and I do not support taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood as long as they are performing abortions.

Rubio said he is the unifier of the candidates left in this race for the Republican nomination. Believe me, we should go much stronger because our country’s in trouble, we’re in danger.

“We say that every day is a great day in South Carolina”, Haley declared. Blacks make up more than half of the Democratic primary electorate in SC and several other southern states. Bernie Sanders face off in the Nevada caucuses on Saturday, and the SC primary for them is on February 27.

“You can draw your own conclusions, that’s what you guys get paid to do, I get paid to do something else, I’m sorry”, he said, laughing.
