Gov. Kasich appears on Late Night with Seth Meyers
Justin Timberlake, like most of Middle America, has no idea who Seth Meyers is. Probably not. But still, we’re rooting for him to show up even more regularly on the late-night circuit. Though Timberlake manages to work his allegiance to Fallon into the sketch, we would not be surprised if Fallon stopped liking Timberlake’s Instagrams for a few days and decided not to respond to his “hoops this weekend??” text, just to make a point.
Meyers pointed out that Kasich is polling low nationally – 2 percent in the latest national poll and in 10th place.
He also pointed out that he wants to be a “uniter” and is avoiding saying “outrageous things”.
Timberlake admitted that was the case, but assured Meyers that his second song, “I wrote just for you“.
“Do you know what a demolition derby is?” Kasich asked. “I mean this is just politics“.
“The first debate was a little more orderly and went well”. Then, referencing Kasich’s Pennsylvania roots: “You’re a Steelers fan who lives in Ohio”. “That’s when I knew it was time to leave”. “Get ready, everybody”, he said. If you need a couple bucks to stand there to the very end, I’m going to chip in a couple bucks. Enough to get you to each debate.
