Govt to rename missile complex after Kalam

The Missile Complex comprises Advanced Systems Laboratory (ASL), Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) and Research Centre Imarat (RCI) which is considered to be the brain child of Kalam. The HoD, Home Science, Mr. K. Venkatesan, shared his work experience with Dr. A.P.J.
The defence minister said it was because of Kalam’s vision and the encouragement he gave to the students that many youngsters were taking up defence as a career.

Sisodia further said as per Kalam, the focus should be on “skill based education”.
