Govt will keep holding meetings, hospitals prepared for dengue treatment
At a meeting with health secretary, divisional commissioner and directors of local bodies, he directed the officials to buy 1,000 new beds to accommodate dengue patients in hospitals.

The mayor blamed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the high number of dengue cases, saying he was not cooperating in dealing with the issue.
“Last night, 768 patients reported in the casualty department for suspected dengue fever in Hindu Rao hospital alone, where so far 1,322 cases have been admitted”, he said. Guilty won’t be spared.
He said he has also directed the hospitals not to deny admission to patients diagnosed with dengue.
In a one-page suicide note, the couple said they chose to end their lives after the death of Avinash, who was their only child, police said. Though the dengue tests are being conducted free of cost at government hospitals, some private hospital are charging more than Rs.10,000 for these tests.
5) The Directorate of Health Services has also issued an advisory to all government and private hospitals directing them not to deny admission to patients affected by the vector-borne disease.
The five hospitals that turned him away were Moolchand Hospital, Aakash Hospital, Saket City Hospital, Max Hospital (Saket) and Irene Hospital (Kalkaji). The MCD is yet to include three others deaths reported across the city in the official list.
The Union Health Ministry also ordered an inquiry into the case.
He said that such a situation further calls for timely and adequate release of funds for medical sector by the Delhi Government.
