“I think if I just go out and do what I came here to do, I’d like to see where it puts me at the end of the day because if I just stick to my plan, I’ll be happy no matter what happens”.

The 29-year-old is one shot clear of compatriot Jason Bohn heading into Sunday’s final round, with McDowell a further two shots back alongside last week’s WGC-HSBC Champions victor Russell Knox, 1997 Open champion Justin Leonard and tour rookie Harold Varner III.
Former US Open champion Graeme McDowell fired nine birdies in an impressive eight-under par 63 on Friday to grab the lead in the US PGA Tour’s OHL Classic at Mayakoba. McDowell followed with a bogey and spent the rest of the round trying to catch up. He recovered with birdie braces at five and six and 10 and 11 and after a bogey at 13 a birdie at 17 kept him in the hunt.
“I’m seeing the greens well, keeping this real simple”, McDowell said.
