Grammy Awards Broadcast Logs Smallest Audience Since 2009
Singer Taylor Swift poses backstage with her awards for Best Music Video for “Bad Blood”, Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for “1989” during the 58th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles February 15, 2016. While CBS reached a new high with streaming, 25M is a low for the program when compared to the last seven years.
In key demographics, THE GRAMMYS averaged 7.7 in adults 18-49, 9.1 in adults 25-54 and 6.4 in adults 18-34.
In late night, THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT was the most-watched show in viewers (3.50m).
“I’m very pleased to share that, for the first time, west coast TV viewers will be able to watch the Grammy awards live”, Recording Academy and Grammy Foundation president Neil Portnow said, according to Billboard. In addition, CBS All Access recorded its highest sign-up day in the history of the service. Here’s everything you need to know so you don’t miss a minute of music’s biggest night!
Where to live stream – As with past years, E! will be offering up a live stream for those of you who are away from your live.
Twitter users Monday had a nominee for early Grammy non-winner: CBS All Access, the broadcast network’s digital service.
This was the first year a live stream of the Grammys was available on connected-TV devices, including Apple TV, Roku players, Google Chromecast, Android TV, Xbox 360 and Amazon Fire TV.
You can of course watch the awards-show itself on CBS starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, but for those of you looking for some red-carpet coverage, we’ve got some of the details for you right now!
