Grand alliance demands action against PM, Amit Shah
Shah, addressing a meeting at Raxaul, said, “Agar galati se bhi BJP ki sarkar Bihar mei nahi banti hai to Pakistan mein patakhe chutenge” [If by any chance the BJP government is not formed, crackers will be burst in Pakistan].
Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah’s statement – “Agar BJP galti se bhi Bihar me haarti hai to jay-parajay to Bihar me hogi, patakhe Pakistan me chhutenge” – during an election campaign rally in Bihar shows that he senses an impending defeat in the Assembly elections.
Katihar is in the Simanchal region that will go to poll in the last phase on November 5. “Only a BJP government can develop Bihar”, Shah said. Shah also said if the grand alliance of JD(U), RJD and Congress win, then “gangsters” like Mohammad Shahabuddin, a RJD leader presently lodged in jail, will celebrate.
He said the NDA would form a government committed to the development of the state. Lalu said here, “It is a below-the-belt attack against all Biharis by Amit Shah. Either he must apologise for his comments or explain the link between the results of Assembly elections in an Indian State and Pakistan”, Shabbir Ali said.
He appealed to the people to ensure victory of BJP “so that disappointment descends in Pakistan”. Senior BJP leader L K Advani had once praised Mohammed Ali Jinnah, the man responsible for India’s partition.
Shabbir Ali said that the BJP president must understand the difference between a political opponent and an enemy country. This will only mislead voters, dividing them on the basis of religion.
Meanwhile, the grand secular alliance has taken strong exception to Shah’s statement and has chose to knock the doors of the Election Commission tomorrow. “Their alliance is just to mislead the people for power”.
