Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories is now on iPhone
Those who prefer to play on their mobile devices can download Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for $6.99 on the App Store.
Rockstar promises 60fps gaming with Liberty City Stories, but it’s only available to owners of any of the latest Apple devices: iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, or iPad Pro.
Rockstar has gradually been releasing classic Grand Theft Auto titles for mobile and today it’s carrying on with that with the release of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for iOS.
The enhanced version was released on Thursday, Dec. 17, through iTunes for $7, with an Android edition set to come “soon”, though no specific date has been announced, GameSpot reported. The open-world adventure game has also been remastered for iOS to provide improved visuals, real-time lighting and shadows, support for Apple’s 3D touch, touch controls and cross-platform cloud saves via the Rockstar Games Social Club.
Liberty City Stories was not the only GTA game ported to the mobile scene, the first game to get a mobile treatment was GTA III, followed by Vice City, Vice City Stories, San Andreas and Chinatown Wars.
“Liberty City Stories”, a spinoff of “GTA III”, takes place in the same fictional approach on New York City, The Verge wrote.
The custom soundtrack feature can be accessed by creating a playlist on your iOS device titled “GTALCS” and selecting the “Mix Tape” radio station from within the game.
Undoubtedly, Rockstar Games is looking to keep fans coming back for more with Grand Theft Auto Online, and the decision to give out double the RP and cash will definitely ensure a steady drove of players for as long as the rewards are available. It supports iPhone 5 and 6 series devices, 6th generation iPod touch devices, 4th generation and above iPad tablets, iPad mini 2 and up, and the iPad Pro.
The increased bounty includes the Executives and Other Criminals update’s newly added Extraction mode, which has teams hunting or rescuing VIPs from a crashed jet.
