Great Adventure’s next roller coaster unveiled

“Guests will become members of the Justice League Reserve Team and engage in a full-sensory journey as they battle alongside Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern against Lex Luthor, The Joker and his henchmen”, according to the theme park’s statement detailing the ride’s specifications.

Great America officials ended weeks of social-media speculation about a major addition for next season with a predawn Thursday announcement about the ride, touting it as providing “the next generation of interactive thrills”.

The Riddler Revenge, Catwoman Whip, and Harely Quinn Spinsanity will taunt and beckon guests as they make their way through Gotham City.

The Riddler’s Revenge will be a pendulum-shaped ride that will swing 40 riders back and forth at speeds of almost 70 miles per hour while rotating counterclockwise.

On Catwoman Whip, 48 riders will spin and tilt in a circular motion as the ride whips around.

The ride’s design is said to included a floating and twisting I-box track frame in a two-tone design, magnetic technology “featuring smooth head-over-heels free-fly flips providing guests the feeling of weightlessness as they soar outside the confines of a traditional track”, a total of five 4-D vehicles seating up to 8 riders each in face-off seats and two beyond 90-degree “raven” drops that will provide a free-falling sensation. September 3 through 7, guests will receive a free upgrade to a Gold Season Pass with every Pass purchased.

Three all new attractions will come to the Gotham City section of the park in 2016! 2016 Season Passes provide unlimited visits to Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Magic Mountain in 2015 and all of 2016.
