Great British Bake Off 2015: Professional bakers version in the pipeline
The new series hasn’t even started yet, but Great British Bake Off 2015 hopeful Flora Shedden is already getting us excited with her handsome cake creations.
The video clip, which has been circulated widely on social media, teased the sixth series with judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry dancing and singing to a reworded version of The Hills Are Alive from The Sound of Music.
According to RadioTimes.com, a flyer went out in June asking for potential participants in the show.
“Whether you work in the best hotels, restaurants, top patisseries or high-end supplier – we could love to hear from you”.
Research published today by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) found that bake sales in Great Britain helped raise an estimated £185 million for charities previous year.
The programme is described in the casting calls as “an exciting celebration of patisserie in Britain and the people who dedicate their lives to their profession”.
But the most important question, is will Paul and Mary be involved?!
Marie is the bookies favourite at 3/1 to follow in the footsteps of last year’s victor Nancy Birtwhistle, Alvin, 37, is second at 5/1 while Flora is third favourite at 6/1.
Flora – who is due to begin a History of Art degree at St Andrews University – revealed that she “quite likes to bake a good showstopper”, and that her family, including dad Colin, mum Tiffany and two younger sisters, are her harshest critics.
