Great Memories of Alan Rickman
It was announced the Alan Rickman, one of our favourite actors of all time, had died of cancer at the age of 69.
I love you Emma Watson but don’t use his death to push your feminist agenda.
As the shocking news continues to spread about the “Harry Potter” and “Die Hard” star’s tragic death, celebrities, specially the “Harry Potter” family took to their social media handles to mourn the acting legend, reports E!
He was nominated for the Tony Award for his portrayal. In film, he often played the villain – notably, versus Bruce Willis’ hero in “Die Hard” – but he also played Colonel Brandon, a romantic hero, in Emma Thompson’s adaptation of “Sense and Sensibility”, and a ghost who returns to haunt his beloved (Juliet Stevenson) in “Truly Madly Deeply“. Playing the Vicomte de Valmont “he created a scintillating stylish danger which became a hallmark in a career as varied and distinguished as any actor would wish” said RSC artistic director Gregory Doran. “That’s one of my favourite scenes”.
“Not impressed. RIP Alan Rickman”, he wrote. Rickman did a memorable turn as the Sheriff of Nottingham in the 1991 blockbuster “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves”.
On Reddit, Rickman fans were beside themselves to learn of the tribute. He made an appearance as a dancing lover in Scottish band Texas’ music video for the single “In Demand” (2000).
What few people know is that Biggerstaff and Rickman did not meet on the set of Harry Potter.
And Rickman, as the long-haired, intense and glowering Snape, brought the debate to life.
Nonetheless, contrary to popular belief, he was in fact a husband.
He recently revealed he had married Rima Horton in secret past year.
A tribute was also held at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter wherein fans raised their wands in the air for Severus Snape as per Buzzfeed.
He played one of the most iconic characters in the hugely successful Harry Potter franchise; Severus Snape.
Rickman may have left us, but not without a parting gift.
Alice adds: “I just loved his voice when he would be Snape”.
Born to a working-class London family in 1946 and trained at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Rickman was often cast as the bad guy; with his rich, languid voice he could invest evil with wicked, irresistible relish.
Grint tweeted: “A huge talent and great gentleman”.
