Green Bay Packers’ Defense Cools Down Surging Vikings

The rest of the season gets very interesting for the Vikings, with five of their six final games against teams that are. Trainers called it the worst one they had ever seen.

Sunday’s game was televised to most of the nation on Fox.

A frustrated Peterson pointed out the Vikings mistakes Sunday, such as their eight penalties for 110 yards. It promises to be one of the more special nights in team history. But they weren’t the only ones struggling to contain pressure from the Packers.

The Bears’ offense took a step back this week, but the Broncos defense has shut down nearly everyone this season. “Those things will beat a good football team”.

“The preparation process is really a grind”, explained coach Mike McCarthy about what his Packers are in the process of doing – putting a Monday-through-Saturday week of preparation into three days before their Thursday showdown. They knew they couldn’t afford to fall behind two games in the division race.

It is the first time Green Bay has played four straight games against division opponents in a single season since 2000 (Weeks 14-17). “So it was good to get him going and consistently go back to him and he gave us a lot”. James Jones, Randall Cobb and Davante Adams also need to find a way to get on the same page as their quarterback, as several drops, poorly ran routes and miscommunication have been the story for the Packers offense as of late.

As always, leading the Packers was franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers who completed 16 of 34 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns, also getting sacked twice.

Crosby was 5-for-5 on field goals, making kicks from 42, 47, 40, 42 and 52 yards. Kicker Blair Walsh missed the extra point. One week they’re allowing record passing numbers, the next they’re totaling six sacks and stuffing one of the best running backs in the league for under 50 yards.
