Green Bay Packers’ Jordy Nelson and other notable 2015 NFL preseason/training
Among those who reacted to Quin’s comments were Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who retweeted a comment from Brian Baumgartner, an actor from the TV show “The Office”, about Quin’s comments.
There was no joy among Lions players when they got word of Nelson’s injury, and no predictions of a Packers’ decline.
When asked about the NFC North race, and how Nelson’s potentially season-ending ACL injury changes it, Lions head coach Jim Caldwell had a simple response. In a time when the NFL front offices claim to be anxious about player safety above all, it’s not a good look to continue to play four preseason games each year while charging fans regular season prices for tickets while star players continue to drop.
This news is both good and bad for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Nelson is having his knee double checked today and although there is still hope cheeseheads and fantasy footballers alike have already given up. Jordy Nelson is a great guy and makes that team better. The Pro Bowl wide receiver had the best season of his career just last year, following the four-year, $39 million contract he signed entering the Packers training camp.
“But I think we have too many”.
“It hasn’t started”, he said Monday.
Football is a risky game in which injuries are always part of the equation.
Second-year receiver Davante Adams will take on a bigger role in the offense.
“This game doesn’t mean anything”, Rodgers added.
Packers officials haven’t confirmed that Nelson did, in fact, suffer a torn ACL.
“Injuries are going to happen”.
Slowed by an elbow injury and torn triceps, Wayne finished 2014 with just 64 receptions for 779 yards and two touchdowns, his least productive season since 2002.
ST. LOUIS – Todd Gurley has been cleared to practice with the St. Louis Rams, but the 10th overall pick in the draft still won’t play in the preseason. However, the absence of Nelson looms largest, as it affects not only Green Bay’s title run, but also the fortunes of the rest of the conference.
“I think all three of those guys understood the opportunity before what happened to Jordy”. He later would have David DeCastro fall onto his leg in the season opener against the Tennessee Titans in 2013 which would end his season the same day it began, and now his current injury which could have the center eligible for the injured reserve / designated to return list.
