‘Green Lantern Corps’ Movie Confirmed – Will Chris Pine Star?

The title was revealed at today’s (July 11) Comic-Con panel as part of a sizzle reel.

The movie’s title suggests that Hal Jordan / Green Lantern will be joined by a team of allies, though that is unconfirmed at this point.

There is no word yet as to whether or not any members of the Corps will appear in any of the planned Justice League feature films (all set for release before Green Lantern Corps.), but speculation is always fun.

That film also featured the concept of a Green Lantern Corps, with an entire army of aliens each possessing their own green ring of power, fighting the forces of evil throughout the universe.

Subsequent Green Lantern movies will keep shifting the focus too, making the films more about the Green Lantern Corps, rather than focusing in on one lead character.

The logo was unveiled during the introduction of the DC portion of the panel.

A new Green Lantern movie is coming from Warner Bros., and this time it doesn’t sound like it will be be all about Hal Jordan. “We’ll just see what happens”.

For weeks we’ve been hearing multiple rumors on who would be the new Green Lantern, and it seems that the multiple protagonist theory panned out today.
