‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12 spoilers: Arizona gets back on the saddle
“Grey’s Anatomy” airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
Martin Henderson, the man rumored to be the new “Grey’s Anatomy” McDreamy, has finally arrived at Grey Sloan Memorial hospital – but not everyone is happy to see him. Meanwhile, Arizona was anxious about meeting Callie’s new girlfriend.
April is bringing in a little boy from Jordan who has tumors growing on his fingers.
Callie (to Penny): “We make mistakes”.
Jackson and April have a confrontation after Jackson sees the severity of Kamal’s condition, and he yells at her for lying to him. She also expressed how wonderful the experience was for her as the cast of the medical drama helped her empathize with Penny’s feelings. Nathan is not for that because Kamal has no one at home to take care of him, he lost his family there. Maybe there’s hope for these two yet… but a tender moment between them is interrupted by Nathan asking April if she’s ready to go have a few drinks before he leaves the next morning (which, judging from next week’s previews, doesn’t happen).
Callie (Sara Ramirez) interrupts Meredith and Amelia’s bathroom bitchfest about Penny and tells them to stop being “mean and small” towards her. Meredith subsequently goes to the chapel(!) to meditate.
When Penny finds out she will be working with Meredith, she tells her she doesn’t want it to feel uncomfortable, to which Meredith says “then don’t make it uncomfortable”. That speculation causes Richard’s friend to lash out, questioning what right he has on giving him parental advice. She has made it clear to Richard that she is not her daughter because he didn’t raise her, but then she gets upset when he doesn’t claim to have any children?
Meanwhile, Richard continues to try to be a part of Maggie’s life.
TVLine caught up with Samantha Sloyan and asked her thoughts about her character, Penny. But they’re even tougher when you’re the newbie at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital – not to mention, the surgeon who is said to be responsible for the death of the beloved surgeon Derek Shepard (Patrick Dempsey). He elaborates, explaining that the safest thing for Kamal would be to amputate both hands at the wrists. Let’s see if they are even able to work together first.
Penny is doing post-op on the Pastor when his blood pressure starts to rise and he is complaining about stomach pain. Was Meredith too hard on Penny?
What can we expect when Penny gets to the hospital? Well, Callie is in one of the stalls and overhears this conversation.
“I just want to say that I don’t want the day to be awkward”, Penny told Meredith in the teaser. Callie tells her that she isn’t teaching her, she is being a bully!
Another promo video shows Amelia’s reaction to the news that Penny.
The hand surgery is a success (naturally), and Jackson thanks April for bringing Kumal in. Secondly, the arrival of an old friend and his daughter led Richard to reevaluate his complicated relationship with his own daughter, Maggie.
