Griffin’s iTrip Clip Brings Bluetooth Connectivity To Any Wired Headphones
The iTrip Clip is priced at $19.99 and will be available soon on Griffin’s online store.
Apple isn’t letting any secrets slip before its September 7 event, but a move by one major accessories maker hints that we may indeed see the end of the iPhone 7’s headphone jack.
The company has just announced the iTrip Clip that can turn any wired pair of headphones into a wireless set.
The whole thing looks to be fairly straightforward.
It will be most useful for people who want to connect to a vehicle audio system or media reciever at home, since its added bulk can be avoided while on the go by simply picking up a pair of Bluetooth headphones. There’s a built-in mic for taking calls, a handful of playback buttons on the device’s front, and a shirt clip on its back.
With rumours suggesting Apple is about to ditch the headphone port on the new iPhone 7, Apple accessory make, Griffin, is hoping to offer a solution to those that want to still use its favourite headphones without the need to worry about where to plug in the headphone socket. That’s your cue to look in Apple’s direction.
With current Bluetooth technology, even with version 4.1, it should be worth noting that users should not expect their high-end pieces to sound exactly the same as if connected directly to a device’s 3.5mm port. A micro-USB charging cable is included in the box. Plus, it’s another $20 to spend. Either way, though, it appears our great dongle apocalypse is starting to take shape.
