GTA: Liberty City Stories on iPhone Adds 3D Touch, 60 FPS

“Liberty City Stories” first emerged as a 2005 console game for Sony’s PlayStation Portable. The game is now available for $7 and can be purchased through iTunes.

Liberty City Stories takes place in the same fictional city that is based on NY, and follows the story of Toni Cipriani, a former wise guy for the Leone family that returns home after hiding for killing a made man. Upon his arrival, he finds Liberty City in trouble as warring families attempt to take control.

Liberty City Stories will be heading to the iPhone and iPad and will be priced at $6.99.

“With shorter, streamlined missions designed with mobile gameplay in mind, this definitive open-world adventure has been remastered for iOS with extensive graphic enhancements, rebalanced touch controls, cross platform saves, and native Retina screen support”, the developer shared, as quoted in GameSpot’s report. All you need to do is download the iOS game, sign in to Social Club with your GTA Online account, and voilà: a “I HEART LC” t-shirt which you can show off to your online friends. “Deranged hit men, morally depraved tycoons, cynical politicians and even his own mother stand in the way as Toni tries to bring the city under Leone family control”.

Miss the old GTA games? Rockstar Games previously released the mobile versions of GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas and Chinatown Wars. This way mobile players will be able to play the game in any of their iOS devices without having to start all over.

There are also new game modes such as an executive death match, where crime organizations clash, and extraction, where bodyguards must save their employer from a crashed jet before a rival team arrives, The Verge added.
