GTA V Reveals Drop Zone and New Supercars for Online Mode
The studio certainly isn’t showing any signs of slowing down, either: Rockstar Games has just announced a brand new update for Grand Theft Auto Online that adds a brand new adversary mode and a couple of specialized cars into the mix.
The streets of Los Santos must be a permanent shade of red, because Rockstar Games has been keeping Grand Theft Auto Online players consistently busy with plenty of free game modes and double income event weekends. Rise through the criminal ranks by banding together to complete Jobs for cash, purchase properties, vehicles and character upgrades, compete in traditional competitive modes, or create your own content to play and share with the Grand Theft Auto community.
According to Rockstar, Drop Zone sees “teams of paratroopers jump from Cargobobs hovering high above, then race to the ground to seize and maintain control of a small, exposed patch of terra firma”. You get to attack the other team to make sure that you land, safely, first.
There will also be five maps for Drop Zone, which include Pillbox Hill, Richman College, Elysian Island, the Mirror Park cul-de-sac and the Sisyphus Theater. Both of these can be transformed into wide-body racers at Benny’s Original Customs.
In addition to Drop Zone, today’s update also adds two new customizable versions of the Karin Sultan and Bravado Banshee.
Rockstar reckons once upgraded the Sultan and the Banshee will be on a par with the Zentorno and the T20.
Rockstar is also planning to launch a range of events for the weekend to celebrate the arrival of Drop Zone and the two vehicles, and it seems that the studio is also planning to introduce a special content update associated with the coming Valentine’s Day.
