GTAV graphical mod makes a pretty game prettier
An in-development mod promises to make Rockstar Games’ crime epic look downright spectacular. A similar mod was released for GTA IV, but, obviously, modders are working with much richer source materials with GTA V. It’s called the Toddyhancer and it does the same thing that the iCEnhancer does: make GTA V almost indistinguishable from real life.
According to its creator, Martin Bergman, this is a work in progress. You can check out the images in the album below.
If it looks like it’s running crap-tier that’s because it is. Notably, he says the mod will eat up 10-30fps – making it potentially quite demandsing, though there will be a “sh*t setup build as well” for users with less powerful systems – and that it’s not expected to be compatible with GTA Online. Yikes. And its implementation in GTA V is already showing some promising results. The result is rather striking, as you will see in the video below, though the character models in some of the stills do stand out a bit in the current build. Bergman downplays his work saying “Don’t go bananaz![sic] It’s just Reshade shaders, ENB series, simple tweeks, and some tonemapping with class!” GTA 5 released on PC in April, opening up to an eager modding community that has since flourished.
If you want to play GTA V via the Tonyhancer and achieve a good framerate, have beastly rig at your side.
You can keep track of the Toddynhancer by paying a visit to Martin Bergman’s official Facebook page. And Intel i7 and well over 8GB would be required.
