‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Sequel Gets an Official Title
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige let it slip during a press event to promote Ant-Man, but writer-director James Gunn has confirmed it. Gunn has already said that there’s going to be an Awesome Mix Vol. 2.
“We start shooting Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 in February to March 2016”, he told the movie site, but backtracked on his wording on a follow-up question. Gunn made the announcement on his Facebook page earlier today, saying that he could make the finally reveal the title following Kevin Feige’s reveal during Ant-Man‘s press tour.
With Chris Pratt being a bonafide superstar after his recent success in the monstrous box office hit, Jurassic World, we imagine Guardians’ sequel will be a massive success, and like the first film, inject some much-needed fun and special storylines into the MCU.
Would it be a nod to the comics, like Guardians Of The Galaxy 2: Annihilation?
Gunn recently spoke about the film’s “more emotional” focus, and also teased that “Awesome Mix Vol. 2” will be heard in the upcoming film. 1 did in the first. More than one person guessed “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” – I wanted so badly to give you props at the time, but knew I had to wait. “We get to learn a lot about fathers in the second movie…”
Lest you think this will set Kevin Feige off on a mission to hunt down a mole, he won’t have to go very far for the source of the leak.
