Guns N’ Roses To Play Two Coachella Warm Up Shows
With a lineup featuring frontman Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan, the influential Los Angeles hard-rock band is set to perform April 8 and 9 at the T-Mobile Arena, a new 20,000-seat venue set to open in April just off the Las Vegas Strip. Tickets go on sale this weekend.
None of the reuniting band members have commented either. The gigs were announced by the band today (January 19) and precede their appearance at Coachella the following weekend.
Limited VIP packages including reserved priority seating, autographed memorabilia, preshow VIP parties, backstage tours, and exclusive Guns N’ Roses merchandise are available.
“What an honor to work with the biggest name in rock n’ roll as part of the opening celebration of T-Mobile Arena”, Bobby Reynolds, vice president of booking for AEG Live Las Vegas said in a release earlier Tuesday morning. Rose and Slash have not performed together since 1993. Since, Rose has appeared with a new GNR lineup for two residencies at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel. Tickets start at $79.50 (plus applicable service fees).
Both the April 8 and 9 concerts are scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. But this may be highly optimistic, igfnot laughable, for a band long known for taking the stage hours after the advertised starting time of its shows. Stay tuned to see if any more shows are announced.
