Gymnast Dipa Karmakar will get busy with MA examination

Days after she helped a couple unite for their honeymoon, external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj responded to the plea of a young woman from Jaipur who was being threatened by trolls on Twitter for her tweet prior to gymnast Dipa Karmakar’s failed medal bid in Rio Olympics.

Swaraj referred her appeal for help to Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, whose office immediately called Jaipur police commissioner Sanjay Agarwal, NDTV said in a report.

Dulal said after the MA examination Dipa would start preparing for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Her effort was a big improvement especially in the “death-vault” of Prudonova which has the maximum difficulty level of 7.000 and Dipa would score about 15.100 out of a ideal 17.

The diminutive gymnast, who vaulted into limelight with her death defying leap, had created history when she became the first Indian gymnast to enter the final on her debut at the quadrennial multi-discipline games after finishing eighth in the qualifying round. “I too have that dream”. “I will try my hardest to achieve that”.
