Halle Berry to divorce husband Olivier Martinez ‘with a heavy heart’

Halle Berry faces another divorce as she and her husband Olivier Martinez announced that they will go on a separation on Tuesday.

Halle and Oliver Wednesday back in July 2013 and have one child together, Maceo, 2. “We move forward with love and respect for one another” etc, etc-and a source told the mag the relationship had “run its course”.

“We ask that you respect our privacy as we are going through this emotional time”. “He’s a very macho guy, and things just didn’t jive”, the insider added. The actress was first married to baseball player David Justice from 1993 to 1997 and R&B singer Eric Benet, from 2001 to 2005.

The couple is expecting a quick, amicable divorce, especially since a prenuptial agreement is in place. Aubry and Berry have a 7-year-old daughter together named Nahla.

Rumors about Berry and Martinez started a few months ago when the actress was spotted without her wedding ring.

“She is okay.” The couple began dating after meeting on the set of the movie Dark Tide in 2010, and confirmed their engagement two years later in March of 2012.

The couple had a prenup already in place so Berry is hoping for a quick, peaceful divorce. Other outlets chose to focus on the reasons behind Berry’s decision to walk away: Martinez’s anger issues.

The actress vowed at the time to never get married again, but Martinez swayed her to make another leap of faith. Instead of asking for joint or primary custody, Halle is reportedly asking for whatever is in “the best interests of the child”.

It’s certainly no secret that kids put stress on a marriage, and I can only imagine an intense, long-lasting custody battle would only make things worse.

Martinez previously dated Aussie pop-princess Kylie Minogue for five years until the pair split up in 2007.
