Halloween Party at Golisano Children’s Hospital
“What are you going to be this year for Halloween?”
The Halloween party was thrown by Spirit for Children, which is the charitable arm of Spirit Halloween.
Costumes, decorations and activities were brought in for kids otherwise unable to trick-or-treat at home.
Now with parents and children are starting to plan their outfits the potential dangers of fancy dress costumes should not be underestimated.
Halloween may still be a couple weeks away but Wednesday it was Halloween at the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Costume jewellery could also get dangerously tangled.
Volunteers were on hand to paint masks and pumpkins with the children. Make sure it fits snugly with large holes around the eyes, and of course ensure that they can breathe comfortably while wearing it. It is important to make sure that candles in them are properly secured and that the lanterns are fully extinguished when no one is in the room. But do make sure that anything your child carries, such as a wand or cane, has no sharp edges or points. “It makes my day, it makes my day just to see her smile”.
