Halo 5: Guardians: Here’s How to Fix Preload Glitch On Xbox One

Speaking on Halo Waypoint, the developer said that it’s possible that a few of those who pre-ordered and pre-downloaded the game digitally may just have a placeholder file on their hard disc drives and not the actual game.

The Limited Edition Halo 5: Guardians Xbox One bundle includes a 1TB customized console and wireless controllers, a full game download of Halo 5: Guardians, the Warzone REQ Bundle that includes 14 premium Requisition Packs, FOTUS-class armor and multiplayer emblem, a Guardian model by Metal Earth®, Halo: The Fall of Reach – Animated Series, Blue & Osiris team dossiers, and Spartan Locke’s Classified Orders. Guardians file size is less than 40 GB, than it’s a stub file that needs to be deleted and the game reinstalled. To make things easier, it is important to sort your collection of games. If your copy of the game is larger than 40GB, you do not have to worry as you have the right version.

For those fo you who pre-ordered Halo 5 on or after September 21st, you should be fine and will be able to play Halo 5 once the updates have installed. To rectify this issue, the game has to be deleted and reinstalled. Remember there will be a 9GB day one patch.

A six-hour live broadcast of the launch will be exclusively streamed on YouTube, starting at 6 p.m. EDT on October 26 and culminating at midnight, heralding the sale of Halo 5: Guardians in North America.

Also, if your file size for Halo 5: Guardians is bigger than 40GB, you should be okay too.
